Awards and Acknowledgements

We received several awards:

  • The "Chart Rabuziana", an award given by the Society for Improvement of Life, Zagreb (1993)
  • "Award for Nonviolence" from the Swedish branch of the International Fellowship of Reconciliation
  • "European Circle Award for Human Rights" was given to Katarina Kruhonja "for her excellent deserts on affirmation of European values in Croatia and the world in the area of human rights affirmation" by the European Movement in Croatia (1997)
  • "Right Livelihood Award ", "The Alternative Nobel Prize" was given to Katarina Kruhonja and the Centre for Peace and to Vesna Teršelič and the Anti-war Campaign of Croatia (1998)
  • On December 2nd, 1999 the City Council of the City of Osijek gave "The Seal of the City of Osijek" to Katarina Kruhonja "for an outstanding contribution to promotion of peace, democracy, and citizens' rights".
  • The award, "The Cross of Nails," was given by the Community for Reconciliation, UK (2000)
