PUBLIC DISCUSSION - WAR CRIME TRIALS 2007

Centre for Peace, Nonviolence and Human Rights Osijek, in cooperation with Documenta-Centre for Dealing with the Past; Croatian Helsinki Committee for Human Rights; and Civic Committee for Human Rights, has issued the 2007 Annual Report on Monitoring War Crime Trials in the Republic of Croatia, which contains monitors′ findings and observations on war crime trials.

Round-table discussion on findings of our Annual Report on Monitoring War Crime Trials, will take place in Zagreb, at the Croatian Journalists′ Association Hall – Novinarski dom (Perkovčeva 2) on 26 March 2007 at 11:00 (the discussion will be in Croatian language).

The findings and opinion will be presented by Katarina Kruhonja, War Crime Trials Monitoring Project Coordinator, and members of the war crime trials monitoring team. Representatives of judicial bodies and political institutions of the Republic of Croatia, civil society organisations, embassies to the Republic of Croatia, lawyers, representatives of OSCE, ICTY and EC are invited to the round-table discussion, and the event is supported by the National Foundation for Civil Society Development.

Ms. Ana Lovrin, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Croatia, Mr. Branko Hrvatin, Supreme Court President, and Mr. Mladen Bajić, State Attorney, are invited to make introductory presentations.
