Crime in Rogatica Trials in Bosnia and Herzegovina :: Verdict after appeal Trial was conducted before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina against the defendant Dragoje Paunović for the war crime against humanity that was committed in Rogatica in 1992 whereat 24 persons were killed. On 26 May 2006, following the conclusion of presentation of evidence, the Trial Panel pronounced its verdict. It found the defendant Paunović guilty for the criminal offence referred to in Article 172 (1) (a), (h) and (k) of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH CC) and sentenced him to 20 years in prison. On 27 October 2006, the Appellate Panel upheld the first instance verdict. |

Crime in Srebrenica - Kravice Trials in Bosnia and Herzegovina :: Verdict after appeal Trial against the accused Miloš Stupar et al. for committing genocide in the Kravica Agricultural Cooperative warehouse in Srebrenica in July 1995, punishable according to Article 171 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina (hereinafter: BiH CC), held before the Trial Penal - War Crimes Department I of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo.

Crime in Donja Drežnica Trials in Bosnia and Herzegovina :: Verdict after appeal On 27 August 2007, the main hearing in the case against Zijad Kurtović began at the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Zijad Kurtović was charged for war crimes against civilians and war prisoners, committed in the village of Donja Drežnica in the Mostar district. On 30 April 2008, the defendant was found guilty and sentenced to an aggregate prison sentence of 11 years.

Crime in the KPD Foča (penal correction institution) Trials in Bosnia and Herzegovina :: Verdict after appeal
On 28 February 2008, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina (hereinafter: BiH) announced the first-instance verdict in the case No. X-KRO-06/275 against the defendants Mitar Rašević and Savo Todović, charged with a crime against humanity pursuant to Article 172 (1) (h) of the Criminal Code of the Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH CC) in conjunction with Article 180 (1) and (2) (individual and command responsibility), and Article 29 (complicity) of the same law. The crime was committed in the Foča penal correctional institution (hereinafter: KPD Foča) in the period between April 1992 and October 1994.
The Court sentenced the 1st defendant Rašević to twelve and a half years' and the 2nd defendant Todović to eight and a half years' imprisonment. On 6 November 2008, the Appellate Panel held its session. It modified the first-instance verdict. In the final and binding verdict, Rašević was sentenced to 7 years in prison and Todović to 12 years and 6 months in prison. The case was transferred from the ICTY to the Court of BiH. |

War crime in Ahmići Trials in Bosnia and Herzegovina :: Verdict after appeal
On 29 April 2008, the Bosnia and Herzegovina Court Council announced the first-instance conviction against the defendant Paško Ljubičić for a war crime against humanity and civilians, committed in the region of Central Bosnia in the period between January and July 1993. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Appel against the conviction was not filed. |
